Step 1: Back up
1. Open Spotlight Search
2. Type in Terminal and open the app
3. In terminal type: open ~/library/'Application Support'/ViberPC/ and click Enter
4. Copy and paste the folder with your phone number into another location

Step 2: Clean uninstall and reinstall
Deactivate and uninstall Viber and confirm that it's no longer in your list of installed programs.
Uninstall:
1. Open Viber
2. Go to the Settings Menu
3. Click on the Privacy section
4. Select Deactivate Viber
5. Once you have deactivated Viber, click on the Mac Finder button
6. Select the Applications folder and single-click the Viber folder
7. Send this folder to the Trash
8. Make sure to Empty Trash after
9. Re-download and re-install the latest version of Viber from www.viber.com
10. Activate Viber on your Desktop
Sync your Viber for Desktop chats with your phone app when you reactivate the desktop app to restore your chats to your computer.

Step 1: Back up messages
1. Click on the Start button
2. Open up the Run program
3. Type: AppData in the search field
4. Select the Roaming folder
5. Click ViberPC
6. Copy and paste the folder with your phone number into another location
Step 2: Clean uninstall and reinstall
Deactivate and uninstall Viber and confirm that it's no longer in your list of installed programs.
Please note: When you deactivate Viber for Desktop, your ViberDownloads folder on your computer will be deleted automatically. This folder contains all the photos and videos that you received from contacts on Viber. If you want to keep these photos and videos, please move them to a new folder now.
Deactivate and Uninstall:
1. Open Viber
2. Go to Settings
3. Click Privacy & Security
4. Read the deactivation instructions and then click Deactivate
5. Once you have deactivated Viber, click on the Start button
6. Go to the Control Panel
7. Open Programs and Features
8. Click on Viber in the list of installed applications
9. Select Uninstall
10. Press Remove in the Viber window
Re-Download and re-install the latest version of Viber from www.viber.com. Then activate Viber on your Desktop.
Sync your Viber for Desktop chats with your phone app when you reactivate the desktop app to restore your chats to your computer.
