Vga Cable For Mac
Your Mac came with a DVI to VGA adapter. Why do you need a USB one, when the DVI one is faster and more reliable? Note the specs. Cable Matters Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter is an indispensable companion for your Mac, PC, or tablet equipped with Mini DisplayPort. VGA Adapters C2G offers VGA adapters for connecting M1, DVI, DisplayPort, MAC, BNC or USB devices to a VGA display. We also carry port savers to preserve the integrity of a VGA port that is plugged into often and gender changers for changing from male to female or vice versa.
Battlefield for mac. I'm curious to know if anyone has input on this.
I went to the Apple Store and asked a CSR if I could use my iMac as a 2nd monitor for my work laptop, which is an HP with Windows 7. I told them I had a VGA cable so I just needed to see if they had an adapter for VGA to thunderbolt, which they did. So I purchased that and when I got home, I plugged the VGA cable into the adapter and then in to the back of the iMac via one of the thunderbolt ports. The iMac doesn't react to or do anything when I plug the opposite end to my HP, but the screen on the HP laptop widens then narrows, widens, then narrows back and forth. When trying to detect another monitor, it doesn't pick up the iMac.
Does anyone have any input on how to possibly make this work? I searched the forums and the posts I found are all related to HDMI (and dated) whereas this is VGA. I can connect the iMac with the HP no problem but I'm not finding a way for the HP to pick up and identify the iMac. Any input would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

The USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter connects a Mac that has a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) or USB-C port to a display that uses a VGA cable. It also connects your Mac to USB-A devices and includes a USB-C port for charging your Mac notebook. All three ports can be used simultaneously.

Vga Cable For Mac Book Pro
Use the USB-C port of this adapter for charging your Mac, not for data transfer or video. For example, you can connect one end of the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) Cable or Apple USB-C Charge Cable to the USB-C port of this adapter, and connect the other end to an Apple USB-C Power Adapter.
This port delivers a maximum of 60W power, suitable for MacBook models and 13-inch MacBook Pro models. For the best charging performance on 15-inch MacBook Pro models, connect the power supply directly to your Mac, not through the adapter.
This adapter draws power from your Mac even when your Mac is asleep. To avoid draining the battery of your Mac notebook, unplug the adapter when your Mac is not connected to AC power.
